A PROCESS OF MAKING THE COMPOUNDS BY THE REACTION OF 3,5-DIHYDROCARBYL-4HYDROXYBENZYL HALIDE WITH AN 0,0-DI-HYDROCARBYL DITHIOPHOSPHORIC ACID IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ALKALI METAL BASE OR AN ALKALINE EARTH METAL BASE IS ALSO DISCLOSED.
