MOST COMMONLY, R IS A METHYL OR ETHYL GROUP, N IS 1, AND X IS CHLORINE. AS DISCLOSED HEREIN, THE SOLUTION CONTAINING THE ORGANOLEAD COMPOUND IS PASSED THROUGH AN ELECTROLYTIC CELL HAVING A POROUS, ELECTROLYTE-PERMEABLE GRAPHITE CATHODE.
