abstract 1-isopropenylcarborane is reacted with tetrafluorohydrazine to form NFIPC. NFIPC is a modifier to enhance the burning rates of composite propellants. When NFIPC is used to replace nbutylferrocene in a propellant formulation, a faster burning propellant with better physical properties results.
