abstract THE PRESENT DISCLOSURE IS DIRECTED TO A METHOD FOR SEPARATING 2,3,5,6-TETRACHLORO-4-(METHYLSULGONYL) PYRIDINE FROM ADMIXTURE WITH CLOSELY RELATED CHLORINE AND SULFUR SUBSTITUTED PYRIDINES. THE SEPARATION IS CARRIED OUT BY CONTACTONG A MIXTURE OF THE ABOVE PYRIDINE COMPOUNDS WITH SULFURIC ACID TO PRECIPITATE THE 2,3,5,6-TETRACHLOR-4(METHYLSULFONYL) PYRIDINE PRODUCT, AND RECOVERING SAID PRODUCT FROM THE ACID MEDIUM.
