abstract A batt having high filling power and bulk under load comprising crimped hollow polyester filaments. Critical ranges for the percent void, denier, crimp frequency, and crimp index are defined for the fibers which interact to provide batts having higher bulk under load than would be expected by virtue of the voids alone when compared with the bulk of solid fibers. Also disclosed is a process for making the batts.
