abstract -CH(-AR)-)THIOPHENE ((R7,R8-PHENYL)-CH(-R6)-C(-R4)(-R5)-N(-R3)-CH(-R2)-CH(-R1) COMPOUNDS ARE PREPARED HAVING THE FORMULA WHERE THE THIENYL GROUP CAN BE SUBSTITUTED BY ONE OR MORE LOWER ALKYL GROUPS, AR IS A THIENYL OR PHENYL GROUP WHICH CAN BE SUBSTITUTED BY ONE OR MORE LOWER ALKYL OR LOWER ALKOXY GROUPS, R1, R2, R3, R4 AND R5 ARE HYDROGEN OR LOWER ALKYL, R6 IS HYDROGEN OR HYDROXYL AND R7 AND R8 ARE THE SAME OF DIFFERENT AND ARE HYDROGEN, HYDROXYL, HALOGEN, LOWER ALKYL, LOWER HALOALKYL OR LOWER ALKOXY AND THEIR SALTS.
