abstract In combination glyoxal and a boron containing compound selected from the group consisting of the alkali metal borates and boric acid, the combination being incorporable into a resin forming reaction mixture to produce a durable press finish, and an improved process for treating textile fabrics with the same thereby yielding a treated fabric of significantly less discoloration then heretofore known and one exhibiting at the same time, improved strength properties.
