WHILE 5-ACETYL-8-HYDROXY-QUINOLINE AND ITS HYDROCARCHLORIDE HAVE STRONG IRRITANT ACTION ON THE MUCOUS MEMBRANES AND SKIN OF HUMANS, THE NEW SALTS ARE VIRUTALLY FREE FROM THESE DRAWBACKS WHEN APPLIED IN MICROBICIDALLY EFFECTIVE AMOUNTS OF THE SURFACE OF EDIBLE PLANT PARTS. |
