THE PROCESS GIVES AN IMPROVED DISTRIBUTION OF DESIRABLE HIGH MOLECULAR WEIGHT FATTY ACIDS. WHEN PRIMARY N-ALKYLBENZENES ARE USED, THE PROCESS IS HIGHLY SELECTIVE TO ACIDS OF SPECIFIC CHAIN LENGTHS TO THE NEAR EXCLUSION OF LOW MOLECULAR WEIGHT, LESS DESIRABLE, FATTY ACIDS. |
