abstract Flexible radiographically opaque plastic tubing for use as an Xray catheter. The tubing is transparent to visible light and is rendered X-ray opaque by the incorporation of a diol of tetrabromophthalic anhydride. The radiographically opaque properties enable the tubing to be used as a catheter whose position within the body cavity can be determined by X-ray observation.
