IT HAS BEEN FOUND THAT THE PRESENCE OF A SMALL AMOUNT OF A ALIPHATIC, CYCLIC OR ACYCLIC QUATERNARY AMMONIUM HALIDE SALT OR TETRAALKYL PHOSPHONIUM HALIDE SALT ENHANCES THE CROSS-LINKING RATE OF POLYMERS AND COPOLYMERS OF EPIHALOHYDRIN WHEN CROSS-LINKED WITH UREA, THIOUREA, AMMONIA, VARIOUS POLYAMINES OR CERTAIN HETEROCYCLIC COMPOUNDS IN COMBINATION WITH CERTAIN METAL COMPOUNDS. |
