abstract An airborne air-to-ground ''''wide angle'''' sighting device which avoids optical aberrations inherent in aligning sights and target with vision through transparencies which are not optically inert or caused by faulty alignment of eye and sight. Narrow beam light, preferably monochromatic, e.g. a laser, is projected from aircraft onto ground and pilot viewing illuminated spot through viewer which enhances spot against varied background uses spot as sight. Device includes means for orienting fixed or moving beam in predetermined relationship to aircraft or armament to allow for various parameters such as altitude, speed, trajectories, etc.
