abstract | R2-C(-R1)(-R3)-CO-CO-CH(-R4)-R5 WHEREIN R1 AND R4 ARE INDEPENDENTLY SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF HYDROGEN, ALKYL GROUPS HAVING FROM 1 TO 4 CARBON ATOMS, AND ARYL GROUPS, R2, R3, AND R5 ARE INDEPENDENTLY SELECTED FROM THE GROUP CONSISTING OF HYDROGEN AND ALKYL GROUPS HAVING FROM 1 TO 4 CARBON ATOMS, AND THE TOTAL NUMBER OF CARBON ATOMS IN THE ALKYL GROUP IS FROM 1 TO 10. THE REACTION IS DIVIDED INTO TWO STAGES. THE FIRST STAGE IS AN INITIATION PERIOD DURING WHICH SUBSTANTIALLY NO POLYMERIZATION OCCURS. THE SECOND STATE IS THE RAPID TRIMERIZATION OF THE ISOCYANATE.
