DYESTUFFS WHICH ARE FREE FROM WATER-SOLUBLIZNG GROUPS DISSOCIATING ACID IN WATER AND CORRESPONDING TO THE FORMULA 1-(A-N=N-),2-X,4-(R-O-CH2-CH(-O-Z)-CH2-N(-CH2-CH2-CN)-), 5-Y-BENZENE WHEREIN A REPRESENTS THE RESIDUE OF A DIAZO COMPONENT OF THE BENZENE SERIES HAVING AT LEAST ONE NON-IONOGENIC, ELECTRON-ATTRACTING SUBSTITUENT OR THE RADICAL OF A DIAZO COMPONENT OF THE HETEROCYCLIC SERIES, X AND Y REPRESENT INDEPENDENTLY OF EACH OTHER, HYDROGEN, A LOWER ALKYL GROUP, LOWER ALKANOYLAMINO OR HALOGEN, Z REPRESENTS AN ACYL RADICAL AND R REPRESENTS AN OPTIONALLY SUBSTITUTED LOWER ALKYL, CYCLOALKYL, ARALKYL OR ARYL RADICAL.
