titleOfInvention Method for preparation of aminoethylpiperazine
abstract This invention relates to a method for the preparation of an amine, namely, 1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine from a mixture of N(hydroxyethyl)diethylene triamine isomers formed by the reaction of ethylene oxide with diethylenetriamine. Aminoethylpiperazine is a useful curing agent for epoxy resins and may also be used as a chemical intermediate (e.g., for the preparation of triethylenediamine).
