abstract Apparatus having a superconductive thin film triggered by an energy pulse detects and counts the incidence of radiant energy upon the film. The film or a portion of the film is driven normal by means of a regenerative process initiated by the temperature rise caused by the energy pulse. A sensing circuit detects the presence of the energy pulse, and then resets the film to its superconductive state.
