abstract A receptacle having at least two chambers for receiving and subsequently mixing the ingredients of dental preparations or other products. The pair of chambers are initially separated from each other by a dividing wall which has at least one weakened, substantially linear portion or notch arranged to rupture and form a gap for passage of one of the ingredients therethrough when bending or buckling forces are exerted upon the dividing wall, but upon termination of the action of such forces the gap formed will be automatically closed again to prevent reverse flow of ingredients.
