The invention is concerned with a new antibiotic, named alanosine, whose chemical structure corresponds to L-(-)-2-amino3-nitrosohydroxylamino-propionic acid. It is obtained by cultivating a new species of Actinomyces of the genus Streptomyces, designated Streptomyces alanosinicus n.sp. ATCC 15710. |
