abstract An image conversion device of the type wherein an input photon image is converted to a photoelectron image which creates on a storage target a charge pattern corresponding to the input optical image. According to this invention a multichannel plate is disposed in intercepting relationship with the photoelectrons to provide electron multiplication of the photoelectron image.
