abstract |
The enzyme L-asparaginase, used in the treatment of leukemia and disseminated cancer, is extracted in high yield by treating Lasparaginase producing bacteria with strong alkali to release the enzyme from the bacterial cell in soluble form and thereafter isolating and purifying the enzyme by conventional methods. |
