A UNIQUE CRYSTAL FORM OF DIPERISOPHTHALIC ACID IS OBTAINED, FOR EXAMPLE, BY REACTION OF ISPPHTHALIC ACID OF LESS THAN 0.044 MILLIMETER (LESS THAN 325 MESH).
