abstract A fluid containing a polymerizable film forming substance is introduced into a container so as to adhere to the inner walls thereof. The nonadhering portion of the liquid is then withdrawn and the remainder polymerized in situ on the inner surface of the container. Alternatively, the container is a mold coated with a parting compound and the film formed therein is separated from said mold after polymerization.
