abstract | A HIGH TEMPERATURE AND STRESS RESISTANT BODY OF DESIRED POROSITY IS MADE BY FORMING A GREEN POROUS BODY (FIGS. 4,5,9,10) OF HIGHER THAN THE DESIRED POROSITY BY COMPACTING DIFFERENT SIZE FRACTIONS OF SPHERICAL PARTICLES (A, 23,27 FIGS. 4,5) OR BY WINDING FINE COLD-DRAWN WIRE (53 FIG.9) OR MESH OF FINE COLD-DRAWN WIRE (73 FIG. 10) ON A MANDREL (51 FIG.7; FIG. 10).
