abstract A PHOTOELECTROSTATIC COPYING APPARATUS EQUIPPED WITH A REUSABLE CONTINUOUS BELT COATED WITH AN ORGANIC PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM ADAPTED TO MOVE IN AN ORBITAL PATH. A SERIES OF PROCESSING STATIONS ARE LOCATED ADJACENT THE PATH OF MOVEMENT OF THE BELT SO THAT, IN SEQUENCE, IT MOVES PAST CHARGING, EXPOSING, DEVELOPING AND TRANSFER STATIONS PRODUCING A COPY OR MULTIPLE COPIES ON PLAIN PAPER. THE ORGANIC PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM IS REUSABLE. IT IS READY IMMEDIATELY AFTER A DEVELOPED IMAGE IS TRANSFERRED TO THE COPY SHEET TO RECEIVE A NEW IMAGE WITH OUT PRELIMINARY MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL CLEANING OF THE PHOTOCONDUCTIVE MEDIUM.
