[Also in Division F4] A laminated plastic used to form the walls of a double-walled chemically insulating container (see Division F4) comprises layers 13 of phenol-formaldehyde impregnated paper base thermosetting plastic together with two or more laminations 14 of regenerated cellulose. The layers are all bonded together by the phenolformaldehyde resin. The layers 13 may be formed and bonded together with layers 14 by hot pressing. Instead of cellulose other impermeable layers may be used, e.g. copper or aluminium foil or polyethylene terephthalate. The laminate is resistant to shock.
