abstract A method for sanitizing an indoor environment includes placing a high-output hydroxyl generator within an indoor environment and commencing a hydroxyl shock treatment of the indoor environment by activating the high-output hydroxyl generator. The method also includes applying a disinfectant to hard surfaces or soft surfaces within the indoor environment and applying a microbial growth prevention agent to flooring or the hard surfaces within the indoor environment. The method also includes deactivating the high-output hydroxyl generator and removing the high-output hydroxyl generator from the indoor environment.
