abstract A primer for an ETFE coating material containing: ethylene/tetrafluoroethylene copolymer (ETFE) particles; a heat-resistant resin; and a nonionic surfactant. The ETFE particles have an average particle size of 5.0 to 50 μm. The heat-resistant resin includes at least one selected from polyamide-imide resin, polyethersulfone resin, and polyimide resin. The ETFE particles and the heat-resistant resin have a solid content ratio by mass of 60:40 to 90:10. The nonionic surfactant includes a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether surfactant. Also disclosed is a primer film obtained from the primer for an ETFE coating material as well as a coated article.
