A-J comprising (a) Current source (6), (b) Reaction vessel or vial assembly set up comprising reaction vessel or vial (3), anode (1) cathode (2), Guard tube (8), alligator clip (5) and (c) Reaction mixture (4); for use in electrochemical reactions involving coupling between carbocyclic or heterocyclic rings and also in ring formation reactions between two or more moieties.
