Method for activating polytetrafluoroethylene and method for wastewater treatment, electrogenesis, and hydrogen production using polytetrafluoroethylene |
abstract |
A method for activating a PTFE, the method including sonicating the PTFE using ultrasonic waves under a frequency of 20 kHz to 15 megahertz. Further provided is a method for electrogenesis, the method including: a) sonicating a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material using ultrasonic waves under a frequency of 20 kHz to 15 megahertz; b) connecting a positive electrode and a negative electrode to two opposite surfaces of the PTFE, respectively; and c) applying an external pressure on the positive electrode and the negative electrode. |
