abstract A sealing element for sealing joints in concrete structures including a profile having a center portion and first and second side portions on opposite sides of, the center portion. The side portions of the profile are at least partially covered with a functional coating which is operative to bond with a fresh cementitious composition casted against it and allowed to harden. A method produces a sealing element, a method seals a joint between two sections of concrete, a sealed construction, and a use of a sealing element for sealing of a joint in a concrete construction.
