abstract | The present invention relates to a method for preparing silicon-containing heterocycles of the general formula (I) n n n n n n n n n n n n wherein R 1 is hydrogen; n R 2 and R 3 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C 1 -C 20 alkyl or C 6 -C 18 aryl residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; n R 4 is selected from a linear or branched C 1 -C 20 alkylene residue which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom; n R 5 and R 6 are same or different and are, independently from one another, selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, a linear or branched, substituted or unsubstituted C 1 -C 20 alkyl or C 6 -C 18 aryl which may be interrupted by at least one heteroatom, and a C 4 -C 8 cycloalkyl, or R 5 and R 6 may form a ring, a 4- to 8-membered alkyl ring; and n n is 0, 1 or 2, 2, n said method comprising a one-step reaction of at least one epoxide compound of the general formula (II) and at least one aminoalkoxysilane having a primary amino group in the presence of a catalyst n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n n wherein R 5 and R 6 are the same as defined for the general formula (I) above; as well as the use of the silicon-containing heterocycles of the general formula (I). |
