abstract ‘Fukumurasaki’ is a new variety of sweet potato plant bred by crossbreeding variety ‘Kyukei 255’ and ‘Purple Sweet Lord’. The plant may be used, e.g., for cultivation of root tubers for consumption. The steamed flesh of ‘Fukumurasaki’ has a purple color, high sugar content, medium to viscous flesh quality, and excellent taste.
