titleOfInvention | Securing patch for wearable medical device |
abstract | The present disclosure provides for methods and an apparatus to provide an adhesive securing patch to keep a monitoring system or other apparatus pressed against a body part. Generally, a wearable medical device is pressed against or into a patient. A first flexible substrate layer is applied to the wearable medical device to secure it against the patient's skin. The flexibility of this substrate layer creates a cavity for any supracutaneous portion of the medical device. A second adhesive substrate layer is applied to secure the first substrate layer, as well as to provide a visual display, such as medical information or an image. A third, larger, transparent substrate layer is applied to secure the first and second substrate layers and to allow for exterior viewing of the visual display of the second substrate layer. |
