abstract The invention relates to an electronic smoking device ( 10 ) with a first gas conduit ( 42 ) and a second gas conduit ( 46 ), wherein an atomizer ( 26 ) is arranged in the first gas conduit ( 42 ) and the second gas conduit bypasses the first gas conduit ( 42 ). In order to be able to change particle sizes of vapor provided by the atomizer ( 26 ), the electronic smoking device ( 10 ) is adapted to change flow resistances of the first and the second gas conduits ( 42, 44 ), while maintaining a total flow resistance of the first and the second gas conduits ( 42, 44 ).
