abstract A simple color barcode reader for reading a target color includes a PCB and a means for determining the color of the target color. The PCB has at least one R/G/B LED and photosensor installed thereon for shining light on the target color in an environment to determine the color of the target color. The means for determining the color of the target color is based upon the output from the R/G/B LED and photosensor. The target color is one of 9 natural colors as defined on the hue scale.
