abstract Sterilization is carried out by admitting a flow of sterilant fluid into a sterilization chamber through an inlet, emitting ultraviolet light into the chamber, receiving the ultraviolet light in a plurality of ultraviolet light detectors disposed at respective locations; and regulating the flow of the sterilant fluid responsively to signals from the detectors to achieve a desired level of the sterilant fluid in the chamber.
