titleOfInvention Stent
abstract A stent includes a stent body defining a longitudinal axis and proximal and distal ends and being expandable from a compressed configuration to an expanded configuration. The stent body includes a plurality of stent segments. The stent segments include a first end segment and a second end segment on opposite ends of the stent body and at least one intermediate segment disposed between the first end segment and the second end segment. Each stent segment defines a plurality of cells and a plurality of peaks and valleys. The at least one intermediate segment defines only x number of cells. The first end segment defines at least x+1 number of cells. Each of the cells of the first end segment is substantially equal in size. Each of the at least one intermediate segment and the first end segment defines only y number of peaks and valleys.
