The present invention relates to a method for diverting an underground formation. Said method comprises at least one step of injecting, into the underground formation, an aqueous solution containing at least one heat-sensitive copolymer of a) at least one water-soluble monomer having at least one unsaturated function capable of being polymerized to form a water-soluble backbone, and b) at least one macromonomer of formula (I) where: −R 1 , R 2 , and R 3 are, independently, a hydrogen atom, a methyl group, COZR 4 , CH 2 COZR 4 , COO − M + , CH 2 COO − W or X-Y; −Z is NR′ 4 or O; −R 4 and R′ 4 are, independently, a hydrogen atom or a carbon, saturated or unsaturated, optionally aromatic, linear, branched or cyclic, radical containing 1 to 30 carbon atoms and containing 0 to 4 heteroatoms selected from the group comprising O, N, and S; −M + is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, or ammonium; −X is a hydrolyzable ester or amide bond; and −Y is an LCST group, the aqueous solution transition temperature of which is between 0° and 180° C. for a mass concentration of 1% of said group Y in deionized water. |
