abstract A display panel and a display device are provided. The display panel includes: a first substrate, including a plurality of pixel units, each pixel unit including a plurality of sub-pixels with different colors; a second substrate, disposed opposite to the first substrate; and a light splitting film, configured to decompose white light incident thereon into a plurality of monochromatic lights which respectively correspond to the plurality of sub-pixels of each pixel unit in color and respectively project the plurality of monochromatic lights onto the plurality of sub-pixels of each pixel unit.
