abstract The invention relates to new anti-wrinkle and anti-aging nanoformulations, composed of non-toxic mesoporous silica nanoparticles, natural plant extracts (as the case may be: pomegranate oil, fennel oil, rosemary oil, chamomile oil, jojoba oil, rosehip oil), biological active agents (acetyl hexapeptide-8, aspartic acid), vitamins and others. Additionally, the present invention relates a new method for preparing the nanoformulations by co-encapsulating its active agents within a multilayer nanocarrier, thereby, enhancing their delivery through the skin barrier and their controlled accumulation at the desired site. n In certain embodiments, the active molecules are co-incorporated into an inner polymeric shell (silica derivatives) and onto its surface, followed by, the protection of an outer layer of chitosan-TAT (GRKKRRQRRRPQ). The active ingredients are crossed through the skin barrier using the disclosed delivery system to promote cell growth, skin rejuvenation and wrinkle removal.
