titleOfInvention Catheter Connection and Stabilization Device and Methods of Using Same
abstract A catheter stabilization device includes a medical connector and a docking pod. The medical connector is configured to connect to a medical implement. The docking pod has an internal fluid path, a first opening, and an inlet opening. The first opening may be placed in fluid communication with a catheter. A docking pod adhesive layer that is located at least partially beneath at least a portion of the docking pod secures the docking pod to a patient. The device also includes an adherent substrate with a first film layer and at least a second film layer. The first and second film layers at least partially define a fluid pathway that extends through the adherent substrate and fluidly connects the medical connector and the inlet opening of the docking pod.
