abstract Embodiments of the invention are sturdy, weather-resistant enclosures to protect low-voltage and signal cables (and connections there between) when located on an exterior surface of a building such as a residence. The enclosure interior is separated into at least two internal volumes, and access to a first of these volumes is restricted by a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may use standard electrical data-connection components rather than a keyed lock. Other characteristics and details of the enclosures are also described and claimed.
