abstract Methods and compositions for hydrophobically modifying fracture faces may utilize hydrophobically modified amine-containing polymers. For example, a method may include providing a treatment fluid that comprises a base fluid, an HMAP dispersed in the base fluid, and an HMAP-coated proppant, the HMAP comprising a plurality of hydrophobic modifications on an amine-containing polymer; introducing the treatment fluid into a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation, wherein the subterranean formation comprises at least one fracture; and treating at least a portion of the subterranean formation adjacent to a face of the at least one fracture with the HMAP dispersed in the base fluid.
