abstract Thermal interface materials and methods are disclosed. The thermal interface material can include a matrix and fillers. The filler can include magnetically functionalized graphene flakes that are disposed and aligned within the matrix. The method can include providing or obtaining the magnetically functionalized graphene flakes and aligning the magnetically functionalized graphene flakes from a random orientation to a specific origination while dispersing the thermal interface material onto a substrate.
