abstract Apparatuses and methods for illuminating milk flow during breast milk pumping are provided. In one aspect, the apparatus is an illumination device that may comprise a light source and an attachment mechanism configured to couple the illumination device to a breast pump and/or one or more of its components in a way that allows the light source to aim into the milk flow channel. The apparatus may further comprise an activation control and a power supply. The apparatus may be configured to attach to a breast shield, a breast shield adaptor/connector, or a milk flow channel. The apparatus may be configured to be permanently or removably affixed to a breast pump and/or one or more of its components.
