titleOfInvention Advanced method of treatment and management of chronic hepatitis c infection
abstract Chronic hepatitis C (CHC) infection is associated with the development of liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma. Coherently, the current study is designed to determine the therapeutic value of vitamin D as a supplement to the currently recommended treatment in Saudi Arabia patients diagnosed with CHC and the possible correlation between vitamin D status and the target molecules in the prediction of viral response to current therapy for CHC. Additionally the study also explores a role of vitamin D supplementation in reducing side effect of currently used therapy for CHC infection.
