The present invention relates a drug delivery device for dispensing of a dose of a medicament, comprising: an elongated body ( 20 ) extending in an axial direction ( 1, 2 ), a cartridge holder ( 13 ) to accommodate a cartridge ( 12 ) at least partially filled with the medicament and having an axially displaceable piston ( 14 ), a piston rod ( 110 ) to operably engage with the piston ( 14 ) of the cartridge ( 12 ) to displace the piston ( 14 ) in axial distal direction ( 1 ), a coupling member ( 100 ) connected with the cartridge holder ( 13 ) and being axially displaceably arranged in the body ( 20 ) for retracting the cartridge holder ( 13 ) into the body ( 20 ) during setting of a dose. |
