abstract This invention is a device or system to monitor a person's food consumption and/or caloric intake which is worn like a hearing aid, ear-mounted bluetooth device, ear bud, or ear ring. This invention comprises: a sensor-positioning member which is worn on, in, or around a person's ear; a sensor which detects when the person is eating; an imaging member which is triggered to take pictures of food when the person is eating; and an image-analyzing member which analyzes the pictures of food to estimate the person's food consumption and/or caloric intake.
