abstract According to one embodiment, an X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes an radiography system radiographs the subject, a support frame movably supports the radiography system, a communication circuitry obtains skin dose information of the subject, a processing circuitry decides the irradiation range at the movement destination of the radiography system based on the skin doses of the subject, a control circuitry controls the support frame to move the radiography system to an radiography position corresponding to the decided irradiation range at the movement destination. The irradiation range at the movement destination comes close to the irradiation range on the subject immediately before the movement, and a skin dose corresponding to the irradiation range at the movement destination is less than a threshold.
