titleOfInvention Blood vessel occlusion
abstract An occlusion device delivery system can deliver an implant using a catheter. A distal section of the catheter has proximal and distal apertures extending through a wall of the catheter. The implant can be wound about the distal section and secured to the catheter via an engagement mechanism. The implant has a proximal segment that curves inwardly across the proximal aperture and a distal segment that curves inwardly across the distal aperture. The engagement mechanism engages the proximal and distal segments within their respective apertures to secure the implant to the catheter.
